Why Guests Stay at DeBourge Guesthouse
There are many reasons why our guests decide to stay with us, instead of other local options. Some are looking for a unique experience that they cannot get at a hotel. Others have a larger group and our house’s makeup of guestrooms and bathrooms is the most convenient for the group. Katy Trail riders are excited to learn that we will pick up from the trail at no additional charge. Read More

During the winter months, the bed & breakfast business is typically slow in Missouri wine country. We are happy that our business has been a lot busier this winter season than normal, but that has not stopped us from working on improving our guest experience for the upcoming season. These improvements touch a lot of different areas around the house. Read More
With a year under our belt as Bed & Breakfast owners, there are several things we learned in 2015 that we want to improve for our guests in 2016. As we approach the spring season, guests will notice some changes to the house and to our online presence.
When you make reservations at DeBourgehouse.com, things may seem a little different. DeBourge Guesthouse has partnered with ThinkReservations to manage the house’s room inventory and bookings.
Kelches take on Treasurer and Admin roles for State B&B Organization
HERMANN, MO – At the annual BBIM, Bed & Breakfast Inns of Missouri, membership meeting held earlier this week, the membership approved Bridgette Kelch to take over the role of BBIM administrator. Her role will include sending out mailings to the membership, supporting the organization’s social media efforts, running the gift certificate, and other administrative duties. Earlier in the month, David Kelch was appointed to the BBIM Board of Directors as Treasurer.
Why Others May Do 2-Night Minimum Stays
At many hotels and bed & breakfasts, there are times when they will have a 2-night minimum stay for all guests. This tactic is used during high-demand nights in order to decrease demand and also to decrease supply for the second night which may not be as desirable. For the hotel or B&B, instituting a two night minimum increases revenue while decreasing costs. When the housekeeping team only has to take out the trash and make the bed, it doesn’t take nearly as long to clean the room.
In an effort to create a more inviting experience for our business travelers, DeBourge House is now a bed & breakfast with a business center with services unmatched by any B&B in Washington, MO.
DeBourge House proudly accepts gift certificates from Downtown Washington Inc., and Bed and Breakfast Inns of Missouri (BBIM).
