On August 21 2017, a very rare and awe-inspiring event will take place along a very narrow band of land in the heartland. At 1:15pm, Washington, Missouri will have a perfect view of a total eclipse of the sun, turning day into night for several minutes. While a wider band will experience a partial eclipse, Washington is in the 70-mile wide band that will experience totality. A solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the sun and the earth, casting a shadow on the earth’s surface. 2017 will be the first time in 38 years a total solar eclipse has occurred in the continental United States.
DeBourge Guesthouse has already taken several reservations for guests wanting to experience this once in a lifetime event. Our website only allows one to book up to a year in advance, but we are taking reservations by phone now, at 636-399-0466, or by e-mail and firstname.lastname@example.org. Rates for August 20th and 21st are $135/night.
