DeBourge Guesthouse is a 1928 Craftsman-style home that was originally built as a two-family home. Its residents worked at the local shoe factory just down the street from the home. The factory opened in 1907 and closed in 1960. About thirty years after the factory closing, the house was converted to a single-family home. Now, the home is a five-bedroom, four-bathroom Bed & Breakfast.
Wow, this place is fantastic. We rented out the whole place for an after wedding stay with our friends and wedding party. Normally check in is at 3, but they let us check in at 12 instead so that we were able to have our photographer and party bus meet us there. It gave me a spot to get ready before the ceremony and get lots of vintage looking pictures. The fridge was stocked, they had muffins and fruit for us us and Keurig coffee with heated cups. Everyone was impressed and we would definitely come back again!
Husband and I loved staying at DeBourge Guest House this past weekend. David and Bridgette are so inviting and their house is warm and cozy. The Craftsman style bungalow is in a quiet neighborhood, just a few blocks from downtown. We both felt very comfortable in our room and the rest of the house, which is warmly furnished with re-finished vintage pieces. All of the rooms were clean and well maintained, and the bed in the Brightstar room was so comfy! Being late-ish risers, we appreciated the continental breakfast buffet and coffee service. Fresh fruit, muffins, cereals and yogurt were all available. We both are looking forward to visiting again soon as one night at the DeBourge house was just not enough.
The DeBourge Guesthouse was truly a great stay. We were in town for a conference and training. Me and my mother stayed one night and had the place to ourselves. The owners were very nice, generous, and definitely hospitable individuals. We were welcomed and our stay was fabulous. The place was clean and well maintained. Everything was accessible to accommodate our needs. It is a great place to relax.
My son and I stayed here and it was fantastic! The owners were soo nice and made us feel right at home. We highly recommend this bed and breakfast! They offer great amenities, excellent room choices, free continental breakfast and snacks. The location was close to restaurants and local businesses. If you are ever visiting Washington, Missouri check them out!
This was one of the greatest stays we’ve had to date and we travel a lot. From the decor to the owners, it was exceptional. They had a great breakfast set up of muffins, oatmeal, bagels, and even a keurig! They give you the tour when you check in and your own set of keys. They had cards set out if we wanted to play in the living room. The room was exceptional, cozy, and inviting…
We brought 6 executives to DeBourge Guesthouse for a retreat and it was perfect. We had the whole house to ourselves and it provided space for living and working. It was close to the downtown restaurants and shopping. I would highly recommend it!! I would like to come back for a personal stay.
